Mr. Chair. Here. All right, folks, we have one bill on the agenda. It's Senate Bill 45. We have our bill sponsor. Do we have any questions for our bill sponsor? Go ahead, Representative McCormick.
Thank you, Mr. Chair. Hello, bill sponsor. I'm curious to know why this particular program needs to come through state government and why the School of Mines won't and can't just do this on their own.
Representative Winter. Thank you, Mr. Chair. they went to Senator Liston they asked him to run the bill he ran the bill they testified in support Labor's in support and that's where the bill's at okay thank you very much
additional questions alright seeing none bill sponsors do you have any amendments
no
committee members any amendments alright seeing none amendment phase is closed wrap up Would someone like to move the bill? Representative Taggart.
Thank you, Mr. Chair. I move SB 26-45 to the Committee of the Whole with a favorable recommendation.
Second.
Seconded by Representative Soper. Is there discussion on the bill? Representative Bottoms.
Thank you Mr. Chair I do like the fact that we're pushing this into our Colorado conversation we're going to be going nuclear as a state that's going to happen we need to have people from our own state that understand our own state and have a passion for our state and so I really like this I am hoping when we actually go nuclear that that goes from the private sector, not from the state. That's just my little caveat there. But I do like the fact that we're going to be trying to have this conversation. And School of Mines, I think, is probably the best place to start it. So, yeah, I think this is a good bill.
Thank you, Representative Bottoms. Any other comments? All right. Mr. Rickman, call the roll. Please.
