Designation. Let the record reflect that Representative Ham, Tomlinson, and Labs have all joined us online. We have a quorum. The chair calls. Oh, yes, we do that. Before we get into our regular order of business, we do want to welcome our newest member and have the chairman introduce himself.
Thank you, Mr. Causer. I will not introduce you, but we're glad to have you here.
I would like to thank both chairmen. I'm glad to be here on the committee with all of you. I'm honored to serve with all of you and look forward to the meeting. Thank you, Mr. Chairman.
Let the record also reflect that that chairman was here before the other two chairmen were here.
I just want to make sure, Marty, everybody knew you were here on time, not like us two.
I don't want to miss the first meeting, Mr. Chairman.
So the chair calls up. This might be the last I said the last time was the last Oh my goodness Yes Well thank you all for coming today I appreciate it First thing Monday morning is always tough on all of us The chair calls up Senate Bill 205, printer number 892, introduced by Senator Greg Rothman. Nathan, for your first time, can you please give us a summary of the bill, Mr. Schultz?
Senate Bill 205.
Talk into the microphone, please, so we can hear you.
Okay, okay. Senate Bill 205 by Senator Greg Rothman. This bill allows counties to use supplemental bridge funding available for county-owned bridges for the construction and maintenance of bridges owned by municipalities within the county. Act 89 of 2013 authorized the annual allocation of $5 million total out of the motor license fund, specifically for county-owned bridges across the Commonwealth. This $5 million is distributed to each county based on how much bridge deck area constitutes these county-owned bridges. The bill passed 50 to 0 in the Senate. There are no amendments filed to the bill.
Just for clarification, is Philadelphia a county?
Not in this bill.
Not in this bill, right? Okay, we just want to make sure because I know the bill looks familiar to me, and it looks like it's redone.
this is a Rep. Bellman copycat bill without Rep. Bellman's status of being a Philadelphian in it.
Let the record reflect that Representative Powell has joined us as well. Any questions or comments on the bill? Seeing none or any negative votes on Senate Bill 205. Seeing none, Senate Bill 205 will be reported as committed. Everybody have a great day. Enjoy your week.
