Mr. Chair.
Here.
We're all here, and we'll have a quick committee hearing today. We only have one piece of business. It's for action only. Senate Bill 26103 by Senators Colker and Marchman. I'm going to hand the gavel over to Senator Kipp.
Welcome to, oh, sorry. We already did roll. We already did roll. We all did roll. Okay. Yeah, so we have SB 26103 today with Senators Kolker and Marchman, and this bill is for action only. We have already heard the beginning parts of the bill. so we are here for action only today which means we left it in the amendment phase so
senators do you have any amendments senator colker yes the same amendments that we handed out previously amendments two three four and five i going to move amendment l zero zero two and request an aye vote this amendment is again just to make clear that this is about existing resources not additional resources.
Okay. Are there amendment packets? I have copies of anybody.
Yeah.
Okay. Well, are there any questions or concerns about L002, correct? L002? Mm-hmm. Are there any questions, concerns about L-002? Seeing none, L-002, is there any objection to L-002? Seeing no objection, L-002 is adopted. Do you have any further amendments? Senator Kolker.
Yes, we have three more. I move L-003. This was requested by Mile High United Way. It just changes the legislative declaration to align more with how Colorado talks about community schools.
Okay. Are there any questions or concerns about L-003? Okay, is there any objection to L-003? Seeing none, L-003 is adopted. Senator Kolkar.
I move L-004.
L-004, tell us about L-004.
This would allow a district to comply by using
their improvement plan as long as they have a portion in support of at students and posted on their website Okay any questions or concerns about L Is there any objection to L Seeing none L is adopted Senator Kolker.
I move L-005.
Okay, tell us about L-005.
This removes the portion of the bill limiting metro districts and county approval of schools to public schools, so I think it takes out the whole Section 3, if I'm looking at it right. starting on section 3 on page, I don't know what page that is, section 3 on, basically, so if you have the bill.
Okay, are there any questions about or concerns about L-005? Seeing none, are there any objections to L-005? Seeing none, L-005 is adopted.
That's it. No more amendments.
Members, do you have any amendments for this bill? okay the amendment phase is closed for those of you who might not be used to what we're doing here we just adopted four amendments to a bill that we heard in committee the other week so that is what is going on um okay wrap up senator colker thank you members and thank you for uh hearing us again
uh letting us take the time to make sure that we got everything right uh with with these amendments um just look forward to your aye vote and getting to the floor Senator Marchman
Yeah, just appreciate seeing this bill come to fruition and look forward to seeing where it goes from here. Thank you.
Members, do you have any closing comments on SB 26103? Okay, seeing then, who would like to make the motion? Senator Colker.
I move Senate Bill 26-103 as amendment to the community of the whole.
Okay, that is a proper motion. Ms. King, will you please call the roll?
Senators Bright.

Giselle.

Thank you very much, and I will pass the gavel back to Senator Kolker.
Thank you, Senator Kipp, and the Senate Education Committee is adjourned.
