We have a quorum present and we will proceed as a full committee. The minutes from the previous meeting are on your iPads. Please review those. Are there any objections? Seeing no objections, the minutes are approved. Please stand with me for prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Representative Newman will lead us in prayer, followed by Representative Humphrey leading us to the Pledge of Allegiance.
As we pray, I will offer the prayer from the Psalm of David, Psalm 24. Let's bow. Lord God, we bow before you and offer up our hearts of prayer and trust in you. The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein. For he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers. Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord and who shall stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully. He will receive a blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation. Lord God, we pray for your righteousness, for your goodness. This is your world. We are your people. Lord, help us to serve you and honor you in all that we do in all of life and here in this committee meeting today. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands one nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all.
