Thank you, Jamie. The chair calls up House Bill 2645, printers number 3641. Carrie, can you explain the bill?
House Bill 2645 establishes licensure for home inspectors and registration for home inspectors in training under the Real Estate Commission.
The question is, will the committee report the bill? I will be offering Amendment A03916. Carrie, can you explain the amendment?
Yes, this amendment eliminates licensure for campground membership salespeople, timeshare salespeople, and rental listing referral agents. So this amendment is an effort to right licensing in the real estate field Relatively few individuals hold these statewide licenses and the Real Estate Commission has noted that very few to no complaints have ever been filed These categories of licensure have been identified as ones that do not even exist in our neighboring states, and this is a way for us to just modernize the law.
So is there any further discussion on the amendment? Are there any negative votes on the amendment? Hearing none, Amendment A03916 is agreed to. The question recurs, will the committee report the bill as amended? Is there any discussion on the bill? Hearing none, are there any negative votes on the bill? Hearing none, House Bill 2645 is reported as amended from the House Professional Licensure Committee.
