Representative Isaacson comments Representative Schlegel Thank you Mr Chair Support for our homeless students is a very important topic in education today
As we near the end of this current House session, this resolution, I believe, is timely. Colleagues, you may remember about several months ago that this committee passed House Bill 1326, which was a school transportation bill that Representative Friel and I sponsored. A key provision of this bill calls for the collection of data related to the accounting for the number of homeless students that are transported by Pennsylvania School District. This bill did pass in the House unanimously and was sent to the Senate. This provision was a recommendation of school transportation officials who believe this data is important as we work to identify factors that contribute to the cost of transporting our students. For that reason, I certainly and enthusiastically support this resolution. Thank you.
Thank you, sir. Are there any other questions or comments on Resolution 650? Seeing none, I'm going to ask if there are any negative votes on this resolution. Seeing and hearing none, the resolution carries. Thank you, sir. And seeing no other business before the committee, we will adjourn. Thank you. Thank you.
