Thank you. The Chair calls up House Bill 2774, printers number 3882.
Carrie, can you please explain the bill?
House Bill 2774, sponsored by Representative Abney, amends Title 63 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to authorize Pennsylvania to join the Audiology Physician assistant dental and social work compacts The question is will the committee report the bill
Is there any discussion on the bill?
Representative Emrick.
Thank you, Chairman Burns. This is a piece of legislation that has four separate compacts. each of these compacts are already individually sitting in the state Senate that have passed this committee in the House. So I'm just not sure why they're being grouped already together. I've always been very supportive of compacts in general. They're one of them in the dental one that we have not. But I'm not sure I understand the process for this. and I will just ask for a no vote. Thank you.
So I believe the intent of this legislation was to pass a bill that had multiple compacts in it because the Senate has been reluctant to pass them individually, putting more votes for them passing compacts so that if we put them all into one, our hope was that they could make one vote and pass multiple compacts. Any other discussion on the bill? Hearing none, Jamie, will you call the roll?
