Thank you. Representative Young is here. All right. Chair calls up House Bill 138, 2207, 2224, 2473, and 2544 as a package of bills. Any discussion on the package?
Yes, Mr. Chairman. On this package of bills, all Republicans will be voting in the affirmative. All the Democrats will be voting in the affirmative, and therefore the package of bills will pass the committee unanimously, be referred back to the floor of the House.
Chair calls up House Bill 133 before the committee as House Bill 133. Any discussion on the bill?
On House Bill 133, we will require a roll call vote.
Proceed with the roll call. Chairman Harris? Yes. Abney? Bellman? Brennan? Yes.
All the Democrats will vote in the affirmative.
Chairman Struzzi? Yes. Barton? Yes. Brown? Designation, yes. Devanzo? Designation, yes. Flood? Kale? Krupa Designation yes Kuz MAKO Designation yes Marcel Designation yes Mustelo? Nelson? Designation, no. Ulsemer? Reichard? Designation, yes. And Rigby? Designation, yes. I say that the eyes have it. House Bill 133 will pass the committee. We refer to the floor of the House. Mullins is here. Chair calls up House Bill 2632 before the committee announced House Bill 2632. House Bill 2632 has an amendment. Chair calls up Amendment A03811 before the committee is now. Amendment A-03-811. Is there any discussion on the amendment?
Yes, Mr. Chairman. Can we have a brief description of the amendment?
Go on.
The amendment aligns the caps for the programs within the educational tax credits for fiscal year 26-27 with the caps in current law. So there's no change to the caps with the amendment relative to current law. For fiscal year 2728, it maintains those current law caps, except for two of the programs are combined, but that aggregate remains unchanged relative to current law.
Thank you. Further discussion?
Yes. Thank you, Mr. Chairman. Because the caps are restored to current law, we will be supporting the amendment.
Any other discussion? On the amendment no All right So all the Republicans will vote In the affirmative yes All the Democrats will also vote in the affirmative and the amendment is adopted For the committee now is House Bill 2632 as amended. Any discussion?
On House Bill 2632, while we do appreciate the amendment, we still have some very serious concerns with this bill and its detrimental impact on the EITC program. given that all Republicans will be voting in the negative on House Bill 2632.
So you like the amendment, but you still don't like the bill?
It's a step in the right direction, but we are very concerned with the overall bill.
So why don't you just take that second step and vote with us?
It's not that hard.
One foot?
One foot?
So that's a yes on Jim Street?
That's a big no. But I do appreciate the dialogue.
Okay. All the Democrats will vote in the affirmative. Therefore, the ayes will have it in House Bill 2632. We'll pass this committee as amended to be referred to the floor of the House. Seeing no further business before this committee, this committee meeting now stands adjourned. Thank you.
