We have a quorum with almost all the commissioners present except Commissioner Pike. We have business today. agenda item one is amendments to the uniform antitrust pre-merger notification act of 2024 and my question is commissioner espinoza did you want to or commissioner schneider either one of you
Madam Chair I move that we look at the suggested amendments to the Uniform Antitrust Pre Notification Act bill that we passed last year to bring it into conformance with new amendments that were produced by the Commission
By the Uniform Law Commission?
Yes, by the Uniform Law Commission.
Is there objection to the motion? I see no hands raised on the Zoom. Is there any discussion on the motion? I see the motion needs to be amended in one way. Commissioner Gardner is probably realizing this. We need a motion to draft the bill with these amendments.
Thank you, Madam Chair. I correct my motion to draft a bill in accordance with these amendments.
Is there objection to the amended motion? I see no comments from the wall. And is there any discussion on the amended motion?
Madam Chair.
Commissioner Gardner.
Madam Chair, I just, by granting permission to draft, Will that be all that we need to do to move these amendments forward and hopefully get late bill status and have them introduced
It's our understanding, Commissioner Gardner, that with the commission approving the draft, that Commissioner Espinoza will be better able to prepare her late bill status request. Is that correct, Commissioner Espinoza?
Actually, Madam Chair, I was going to actually move to amend my amended motion one more time to make it much more specific to address that point. I would move that we commission the draft for the submission of a late bill as a Colorado Uniform Law Commission committee bill to the Speaker of the House as I would be the prime sponsor. Because my understanding is that will get us the late bill status.
okay um is there objection to the amended amended motion seeing no objection on the wall or in the room is there further discussion on the motion did you have a second
if not i'll give you the second i i'm sorry commissioner gardner i i said i i didn't hear
a second if you need one but I will second the motion OK is there any further discussion among the commissioners regarding the motion for a late bill re drafted and sent to the speaker for late bill permission seeing none that motion is passed we have one other agenda item today which is other business or public comment regarding items not on the agenda we had one person who signed up who said that mr. Bennett Rutledge would represent themselves questions only position so Mr. Rutledge are you in the room I do not see Mr. Rutledge is Mr. Rutledge on the zoom I do not see Mr. Rutledge at all so if there's no further discussion on agenda item two that agenda item is closed with that commissioners if there's no other business. We can conclude our meeting today. Seeing no other business, the Colorado Commission on Uniformed State Laws meeting is adjourned. Everybody have a good weekend.
