Thank you. will now come to order. Good morning everyone. We're holding our hearing today in room 2200 of the O Street building. We're also live streaming the hearing so members of the public, members, staff have the option to either be here in person or to follow along from a distance. I would like to start off by thanking our fellow members of this committee along with their staff and especially my staff on the Appropriations Committee for all of their diligent hard work and assistance on these important measures before us. I also want to give a thank you to our Vice Chair, Senator Sayarto, and his fiscal consultants for being good partners throughout the process. Before we get to the suspense file, we have one bill to hear as regular order. We also have ACA 18, Coloza, pulled from the agenda. The remainder of our hearing consists only of items that are on the suspense file, all of these measures have already had a hearing by this committee with an opportunity for public testimony. As noted in the daily file, the suspense file hearing is a vote-only hearing with no testimony. As we all know, this committee has had to make difficult choices on a number of bills to mitigate cost. These decisions have only been made after careful analysis and consideration. Before we begin, I'd like to make a few brief announcements about how we will proceed so that the public members of the legislature and staff can follow along. We will be moving quickly through the agenda alphabetically in author order. Please pay close attention as we will only be addressing the measures that will be up for a vote this morning. If you don't hear me take up a particular measure, that bill is held under suspension. As we go through the agenda, I will announce the author measure number, provide a brief description of any amendments to the measure before we take the vote. Following the hearing, we'll be posting the hearing results and the actions taken on each measure on the Senate Appropriations Committee website at www.sapr.senate.ca.gov. In addition, for any bills that are being amended today, we will be posting an addendum analysis which includes a summary of the amendments and the fiscal impacts of the amended bill. These should be available online within an hour of the hearing's conclusion. I'd like to begin by establishing a quorum. Madam Secretary, please call the roll.

Thank you, Madam Chair, and I also, you thanked everyone else on the committee, but I want to thank the chair and your staff, all of the appropriation staff, for the great work that you've done to get us to where we are today. I also want to note that the vote today, as far as items coming off suspense file, is for fiscal consideration only and that any votes on the floor would be in consideration of policy. So those votes may differ from today to the floor vote that you would hear as it gets to the floor. So thank you for that note.
